Perch Lake Campground is located in Charles de Langlade Memorial Recreation Area near Post Lake, WI, about 30 miles northeast of Antigo. The property was formerly a Boy Scout camp. The 57 campsites are somewhat rustic but provide new pit restrooms and drinking water within a short walking distance from each site. Campsites include various configurations, including 1 group site, 1 double drive-through site, 9 drive-through sites, and 44 back-in sites. Click the link to download the campground map.
ALL CAMPSITES WILL BE ELECTRIFIED WITH 20/30/50 AMP SERVICES SOMETIME DURING THE 2025 SEASON. It is uncertain at this time the exact timing of this upgrade due to weather and supply chains; however, the goal is to have the project completed by mid-June. Reservations made before electrification will be honored at the current rates. Until sites are electrified, generators are permitted during non-quiet hours. Please read all campground policies before finalizing reservations, violations are subject to fines.
With about 600 acres of county-owned land that contains two small, undeveloped lakes named Perch and Aninnan, Perch Lake Campground is the perfect place to fish, explore, camp, and participate in endless nature-based activities. While visiting this hidden gem, expect to see the stunning scenery of towering pines, large oaks, low bog areas, natural shorelines, and an abundance of wildlife such as Trumpeter Swans! Most of the campground is approximately 0.2 miles from a small boat landing on Anninan Lake and less than 4 miles from Upper and Lower Post Lake and access to the Wolf River.
Perch Lake Campground is an ATV/UTV campground providing access from campsites to the ATV/UTV trail system. ATV/UTVs count as a vehicle at the campsite. Trail access to Langlade County's ATV/UTV trail system and northeast Wisconsin is available by Town Road and County Highway routes from the campground. Ample overflow parking is available for trailers and additional vehicles as may be needed.

Amenities include private flush restrooms with showers, vault restrooms, RV dump station, solid waste and recycling station, and a freshwater fill station are available for paid campers. Non-campers dump station is available for a fee. Two boat landings to access the two lakes within the property and over 2 miles of hiking trails, including two trails that access the Wolf River. A new sandy beach is open within the campground. Swimming is allowed at your own risk. ATV/UTV access from trails/routes to campsites is permitted.
Firewood can be purchased at the camp host site #2. Firewood can also be brought in from other sources in Langlade County. Brush gathering from the forest floor is allowed. Removing standing, live timber from the county forest is a timber theft, a felony, and charges will be made.

Langlade County purchased the property, surrounding lakes Aninnan and Perch, in 2017 from the Boy Scouts of America and created a recreational area and campground. The property was the site of the popular Robert S. Lyle Scout Camp (Camp Lyle) from 1962 until it closed in 2015. For more history, click here.
