BY RECOMMENDATION OF THE LANGLADE SNOWMOBILE COUNCIL, THE LANGLADE COUNTY SNOWMOBILE TRAIL SYSTEM, INCLUDING ALL STATE FUNDED TRAILS, ARE SCHEDULED TO CLOSE FOR THE SEASON TUESDAY, MARCH 3, AT 6:00 A.M.
The Langlade County Snowmobile Ordinance prohibits snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles from operating on the trails after the official closing date.
For questions regarding the trails, please contact the local snowmobile club or visit their social media accounts. You may also contact the Forestry, Parks, and Recreation Department at 715-627-6300. Langlade County would like to thank the snowmobile clubs, sponsors, and operators of the trails, for all of the volunteered hours brushing, signing, and grooming of trails over this season to provide high-quality snowmobile trails in Langlade County. Cody Brauner Langlade County Assistant Forest Administrator Public Service Announcement Date: February 28, 2026 ZONE B (Southern Zone) OF THE LANGLADE COUNTY SNOWMOBILE TRAIL SYSTEM, INCLUDING STATE FUNDED TRAILS, ARE SCHEDULED TO OPEN ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 25, AT 6:00 A.M.
TWO SECTIONS OF THE TRAIL SYSTEM IN ZONE B WILL REMAIN CLOSED, INCLUDING THE TRAIL FROM INTERSECTION 30 WEST TO THE LINCOLN COUNTY LINE AND THE TRAIL BETWEEN INTERSECTIONS 39 AND 41A. THE CLOSED SEGMENTS ARE SHOWN ON A MAP BY CLICKING HERE. ATVs are not allowed on the trails when the temperature is above 28° F. UTVs are not allowed on the Langlade County Snowmobile trail at any time due to the weight and width of the machines. The Langlade County Snowmobile clubs, sponsors, and operators of the existing trails have put in many volunteer hours brushing, signing, and grooming to provide snowmobile trails for your use. Please support the snow clubs, thank them for their efforts, and patronize their business sponsors. All lake trails in Langlade County are considered unsafe and should not be utilized until they have been clearly marked by a local snowmobile club. As always, the Langlade County Forestry, Parks & Recreation Department recommends riders stay on clearly marked trails, ride safe and ride “right”. The snowmobile clubs spend a considerable amount of time working with landowners to be able to provide the exceptional trail system we have. Please respect private property and the efforts of the clubs to access private property; use of trails across private lands is a privilege. Always exercise caution when riding a snowmobile. Due to the recent warm weather, a significant amount of ice is present throughout the trail system. Exercise caution while riding. Zone B will be very icy in places and could be bare. While other trails will be great as they've been over the last few weeks!
