Outdoor Skating Rinks

Peaceful Valley Heinzen Pavilion Rink (figure skaters and non-hockey skaters): The Pavilion Ice Rink is open for skating and is in good condition. New ice was made on February 3, 2026. The Warming House is open unless reserved. The City of Antigo Park and Rec crews will open and close the garage doors based on the snow forecast and conditions. If the garage doors are closed, the walk-through access doors on the east and west ends of the building are open. Benches have been placed for sitting and putting on skates. For night skating, there are manual light switches to turn on and off the lights.
Peaceful Valley Hockey Rink: The hockey ice rink is in good condition. New ice was made on February 3, 2026. The Warming House is open unless reserved. When open, the hockey rink's solar-powered lights will turn off at some point during the evening.
The ice trail connecting the rinks and the warming house has been developed. The trail is in good condition. New ice was made on February 3, 2026. Peaceful Valley Warming House: During the winter months, there are skates available with a reservation. On days without reservations, the Warming House is open from 7:00 am – 9:00 pm when considered open without reservations. The doors lock at 9:00 pm, so please be sure to have all personal items out of the Warming House before 9:00 pm. Please note: the City of Antigo does not staff on the weekends or holidays. Any snow occurring in the evening hours or on the weekend will be removed the next business day. |
