Snowshoeing in the back-country of Langlade County is truly an experience. Enjoy the 130,000 acres of County forest lands, 50 miles of Langlade County Ice Age Trail, Antigo Single Track Mountain Bike Trail, Game Lake Nature Trail or Jack Lake Mountain Bike Trail in Veterans Memorial Park, or 1.2 mile snowshoe loop from Spychalla's Lodge at Jack Lake Cross Country Ski Trail to trudge through new snow. Fees not required although donations are appreciated.
Groomed Snowshoe Trails Gartzke Flowage The trail is located entirely on Langlade County property east of Antigo off 5th Avenue Road. It's approximately 2+ miles in length and has a variety of trails for all abilities. It is managed by the Langlade County Forestry and Recreation Department and the Antigo Bike and Ski Club. The trail is groomed and tracked by the Antigo Bike and Ski Club. Moccasin Lake The trail system is designed for snowshoeing and horseback riding. The trail is located at N11190 Bear Lane, Elcho, WI 54428. The snowshoe trail starts on the west side of the parking lot. Feel free to make your own trail but please stay off the cross country ski trail. 715-623-2085 |
