Brown Mug owner Hope Brown is happy to be part of the Antigo Bike and Ski Club Waffle Breakfast at Gartzke Trails 8:30 AM to noon Saturday, January 1, 2022, providing hot coffee to go with hot chocolate, Belgian Waffles, and lots of other treats. Becky Frisch, treasurer of Antigo Bike and Ski Club invites everyone to bring families to the trails and lodge located about 9 miles east of Antigo on 5th Ave road to the parking lot. The lodge is about 1/4 mile down the trail to the pristine Gartzke flowage. Cross Country ski trails and snowshoe trails are ready for families to enjoy on skis, snowshoes, or hiking.

Antigo Bike and Ski club volunteers have groomed the trails and will have the fireplace warming the lodge, ready for families to enjoy Belgian waffles and maple syrup prepared by Nick Salm. Families are encouraged to bring breakfast sausages to be prepared on a portable grill along with other toppings for the waffles. Plates, plastic ware, napkins and cups for coffee and hot chocolate will be provided by the club.
Frisch is proud of the fact that Antigo Bike and Ski Club volunteers clean and groom the miles of trails for locals and visitors to enjoy. Brown Mug owner Hope Brown is happy to be part of the breakfast and likes that families get a chance to enjoy outdoor winter activities like the waffle breakfast. Giving back to the community is important for local businesses like The Brown Mug.
