Tractor Pull will Return to Cap a Reduced County Fair Lineup

Although the Langlade County Fair will be celebrated in a much scaled back form this year, organizers have decided to bring back a decades-old grandstand event.
The tractor pull has a long history of closing down the weekend on Sunday afternoon, and that tradition will continue this year. The event is scheduled to take place in front of the grandstand on Aug. 2 from noon to 5 p.m..jpg)
The 2019 tractor pull was among the fair highlights. It returns on Aug. 2.
Ticket booths will open at 10:30 a.m. with prices of $10 for adults, $5 for youth ages four to 12, and under three are free. Adults can save a couple bucks, and keep their transaction contactless, by taking advantage of the online pre-sale. The pre-sale is happening now and can be found under the events tab on the Langlade County Fair website or by clicking here.
The grandstand will be general admission seating. No carry-in food or beverages of any kind will be allowed, but both will be available on site. No strollers are allowed in the grandstand, nor any smoking or vaping.
Two new classes will be added to the event this year, 9,500 pounds and 12,500 pounds “2 Hot 2 Farm.” Organizers say complete rules will be released soon.
The tractor pull always draws a large crowd of participants, with local pullers showing well, and last year was no exception. First place pullers from Langlade County in last year’s event included Ed Schramm, Jake Bula, and Keaton Francl in the old timer classes, Rodger Zupon in the classic class, Caleb Schroepfer in the 7,000 pound class, Hudson Schreiber in the 15,000 pound class, and Jeff Marciniak in the 17,000 pound class.
