The City of Antigo does allow snowmobiles on the road when the snowmobile trails in Langlade County around Antigo are open in Zone B.
Snowmobiles are allowed to travel from a residence or lodging establishment within the city limits. They must use the shortest distance that is necessary for a person to operate a snowmobile to the trail that is closest to that residence or lodging establishment. It is that person’s responsibility to determine the shortest route.
Snowmobiles must yield the right of way to other traffic and pedestrians, and such operation is only permitted when the snowmobile trails are officially open in Zone B.
The City of Antigo also has an ordinance making it illegal to operate a snowmobile in any parks or cemeteries, even if the operation is to and from the trail.
