Runners Converge At City Park As The 36th Tater Trot Tradition Continues

With a break in the clouds, the 36th Annual Antigo Tater Trot began Saturday with less humidity than what was experienced the days prior.
A total of 265 athletes laced up their running/walking shoes to participate in either the One Mile Kids Run, the Four Mile Run/Walk or the 10K Race.
Kris Borchardt of Weston claimed the overall 10K top spot with a time of 38:37 while Antigo’s own Stephanie Tainter led the women’s segment at 42:51. In the Four Mile, Kelechi Anyanwu of Milwaukee paced the male category at 25:10.
Keah Mach took first for the ladies at 28:42. While in the One Mile Kids Run, Drew Dahlin of Green Bay finished first overall with a time of 5:35.
Post race activities included the distribution of the coveted Tater trophy along with the opportunity to dine on a delicious Antigo potato, including all the fixings.
OWNING THE RACE—With an easy quarter-mile lead,
Kris Borchardt of Weston set the pace for
Saturday’s 36th Annual Antigo Tater Trot 10K run.
He finished with a time of 38.37 to take the number one spot overall.
