The Langlade County Fairgrounds barn-raising committee is planning a party Saturday night to have a very good time and raise funds for the big project.

The doors of the Edison Club Events Center will open at 4:30 p.m., a buffet dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. and then the attention turns to entertainment with a DJ, live music by Siren and karaoke by Corey Koeppel.

Ann Boshan, who has helped organize the program, explained there will be door prizes, raffles and a live auction going on all evening.

Dozens and dozens of businesses have been contacted and most of them donated, with a huge selection of gift certificates of varying amounts. They will be good for hair care, dining, tax certificates, hunting apparel, automobile repair, taxidermy services and more.

There is a 47 inch television set from Stern’s, a small freezer from Arlen’s, a night at the Holiday Inn Express and even more.

The evening is designed to be a dance experience that moves through the decades from the 1950s to the 1980s.

Appropriate music will be played and dancers are asked to compete. Boshan said the participants are also invited to dress in apparel from the period they will be dancing in.

Tickets are available for $15 each and available at the door at the Edison Club, Nick’s Tap, Lakeside Market, Roseann Hoffman’s CPA office on Sixth Avenue and the Extension office in the Langlade County Resource Center.
