Farm Market Holding Annual Pumpkin Festival on Saturday

The weather still feels rather balmy, but the calendar has turned to fall and that means it’s time for the annual pumpkin festival.
The Antigo Farm Market will be awash with color this Saturday for its autumn ritual, slated from 8 a.m. to noon in the Country Store parking lot.
“We are celebrating another very successful market year,” Renate Bromberg, who coordinates the market, said. “As in previous years we will have the pumpkin roll for youngsters and give everyone the opportunity to take home a giant pumpkin by guessing the correct weight.
The mild weather and lack of frost means that plenty of produce will also be available.
“The amount and variety of produce at the market is unusually rich,” Bromberg said. “It’s a perfect time to stock up for the winter this Saturday as well as on Oct. 3, the last market of the season.”
Bromberg thanked supporters of the market, vendors, sponsors, members, patrons, staff and volunteers for their contributions.
