Elcho Area Health Planning, Inc. is so very greatful for you.

If you have driven north of Elcho on Hwy 45 and looked to the east, across from Otter Lake, you might have noticed the paved trail that was put in this fall.  Know that it was because of YOU that the trail is there.

THANKS to YOU, Section 1 of the Elcho Area Hike/Bike Trail is nearly done.  The sidewalk portion in town will be completed in the spring, 2026.  We are now raising money for Section 2 of the Hike/Bike Trail which mainly shares the snowmobile trail on the old railroad bed south of town that extends to meet the first County Road B out of Elcho that heads west.  We have already obtained easements from landowners and have begun the 90% design portion of this Section 2 with MSA.

We are also Grateful and Excited to announce that Elcho Area Health Planning, Inc. (EAHPinc.org) was one of the charities selected for the CoVantage Cares Foundation 10th Annual Giving Tuesday Campaign from December 2 through December 16.  The foundation will match every dollar contributed to EAHP (up to $200,000 for all selected charities) during the two-week period.  EAHP is focused on raising funds for the next section of the Elcho Area Bike/Hike Trail to provide safe passage from Elcho, south towards Summit Lake.  Donations can be made at any CoVantage branch, via the MyCoVantage mobile app, online at covantagecu.org/givingtuesday, or checks can be made to CoVantage Cares Foundation (EAHP in the memo line) and can be mailed to PO Box 354 Elcho, WI 54428 by December 15.

Help Expand the Elcho Trail! Two fundraisers will be held by EAHP as part of the Giving Tuesday Campaign:
  1. Wednesday, December 3 from 4-8 pm at Culver’s in Antigo. Click here for more information.
  2. Friday, December 5 from 4-8 pm at CJs Club House in Elcho. Click here for more information.
Please, consider attending, or volunteering at these events, donating, or passing this email announcement to others who might be interested in supporting our efforts to expand the trail. This is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY because the CoVantage Cares Foundation will match every dollar donated between December 2 - 16 (up to $200,000 for all charities).  People can also connect with us on Facebook, Instagram, and on our website (EAHPinc.org).

We are Grateful for YOU.  Thank you for your past support and continued interest in helping us expand the Elcho Area Hike/Bike Trail south of town towards Summit Lake.
