2020 Antigo Tater Trot Virtual Event

Due to Covid-19 and the recommendations to avoid large gatherings, the 2020 Antigo Tater Trot will be held as a Virtual Event.

What is a Virtual Event? It’s simple- the first week of August, time yourself as you run or walk the distance you signed up for (10k Run, 3.75 Mile Run/Walk, or 1 Mile Run) and then submit the results to us. Instructions provided here or see below. Your participation will benefit the local high school cross country team.

To complete your Virtual Event, follow these steps:
  1. Register online by Saturday, August 1 for the distance of your choice (10k Run, 3.75 Mile Run/Walk, or 1 Mile Run). Registration for the Virtual Event will only be available online.
  2. Run/walk your race! Anytime between August 3 and August 9, run whatever course you want, wherever you want, as long as you have the right distance. You’ll need to time yourself. This can be done with a simple stopwatch or use a GPS-enabled device to track both your time and distance. If you want, go to the results page (coming soon) to print your own personalized race number!
  3. Submit your results. Go to our results page (coming soon) ​and find your name in event entry list. You can enter your time next to your name. If you used a GPS-enabled tracker, you can upload the course file to your results as well. This will allow others to see your run results in more detail.  While no trophies will be handed out this year, race standings will periodically update over the weekend as results are received. You have until Sunday, August 9 at midnight to submit your results. Remember: the virtual events are being conducted on an honor system. Please uphold the spirit of honest racing by running the full distance of your race, and reporting an accurate time. Remember, this is for fun and to support a good cause!
  4. Receive your shirt! With your race registration, you will be entitled to our 2020 version of the Antigo Tater Trot tee shirt. Pick up your shirt locally in Antigo (location will be announced soon) or request that it be mailed to you.
  5. Print your finisher certificate. Once the race has been completed, download and print your finisher certificate. It would be best to wait until the event closes since placings will change as more people submit their results.
