Langlade County Ice Age Trail Volunteer Trail Building Day

Date: June 10, 2026 - June 14, 2026
Time: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Help build nearly two miles of new Ice Age Trail tread along the newly created Antigo Heights Segment in Langlade County. Volunteers will assist with tread construction, trail corridor clearing, dispersed camping area work, base camp support, and event photography. No experience is needed, and Ice Age Trail Alliance staff and experienced crew leaders will provide training for volunteers of all ages and abilities.

The event runs Wednesday, June 10 through Sunday, June 14, with trail construction typically taking place from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Sunday work wraps up by noon. Volunteers may arrive as early as 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, to help set up base camp at Polar Ball Park, N2760 County Hwy S, Antigo, WI 54409. Morning volunteers should arrive at Polar Ball Park by 8:00 a.m. for roundup, crew assignments, and work-site directions. Afternoon arrivals should arrive between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the work-site parking area at Town Line Feed Field, then proceed to the Registration/Greeter station at the Moraine Outwash Preserve near the intersection of Hwy 64 and Clover Road in Antigo. Volunteers staying at base camp may pitch a tent or park an RV at Polar Ball Park with no reservation needed. Participants should bring lunch for each day they work in the field, while a light breakfast and hearty dinner will be provided for those staying at base camp. Registration is requested by Wednesday, June 3, through the Ice Age Trail Alliance’s VOMO volunteer platform.
