Post Lake Memorial Day Weekend Bullhead Fishing Tournament

Time: 6:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Post Lake Memorial Day Weekend Bullhead Fishing Tournament runs May 23-25, 2025! Start fishing anytime on Friday and end Sunday at 11 am for the weigh-in at the PLIA pavilion (no fish weighed after 12pm (noon)). Fish anywhere on Upper and Lower Post Lakes. Prizes for the most total weight caught. Prize information is on PLIA Facebook event page. Categories for adults and children.

No registration is required. There are no limit restrictions for bullheads & fish are registered by total weight (DNR requires a valid fishing license for those who qualify).

Cash prizes are awarded to the most pounds of bullheads turned in (adults or children):

1st place - $100
2nd place - $75
3rd place - $50

The bullheads are donated to REGI (Raptor Education Group Inc) located in Antigo. REGI is a nonprofit dedicated to the care & rehabilitation of wild birds & public education on wildlife issues. Last year, we harvested a total of 394 pounds of bullheads from the lake, with 235 pounds donated to REGI! Immediately following the weigh-in, REGI will be on site again this year with a fascinating & educational presentation that includes some of their live birds!

Bring the family & join us for a FREE, fascinating & educational, live bird presentation by REGI! The presentation will be at noon at the PLIA Community Center on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
