Enjoy the Ice Age Trail and beautiful Fall colors in Langlade County while supporting the building and improvement of new trail segments!
Shuttles and Camping are available for a fun-filled Fall weekend in the North Woods! Knock out some Mammoth Challenge Miles and visit a Trail Town in one weekend! Camp with fellow hikers at the conveniently located Langlade County Fairgrounds that include bathrooms and showers. Antigo area businesses are just a few blocks away for all of your shopping or dining needs.
Options: Choose a shuttle on one or both days for $25 per shuttle, per day. Add-on a weekend of camping for just $30 per person (covers both Friday and Saturday nights – see camping details below). Click here to register.
Saturday 10/4/25– Register for one of three hikes; the Kettlebowl segment, (10.2 miles), half of Lumbercamp (6.8 miles), or the full Lumbercamp segment (12 miles). Shuttles will take you from the fairgrounds to the trailhead at either Sherry Road for the Kettlebowl segment, Highway S for half of Lumbercamp, or Highway A for the full Lumbercamp segment.For all three hikes: Hike to the to the Kettlebowl parking area on Hwy 52.Return shuttles will run every half hour beginning at 10 am until 6 pm and return you to the fairgrounds. Added bonus – you never know who you might meet at the Hillbilly Hilton at Norem Lumbercamp! Upon returning to camp, lawn games will be available. Meet fellow hikers and talk trail! Visit downtown Antigo for a wonderful meal and to visit businesses offering Trail Magic!
Sunday 10/5/25 – enjoy the Fall colors of the Summit Moraine Segment. The shuttle will take you from the fairgrounds to the trailhead on Hwy B at the entrance to Camp Susan. Hike all of the segment to HWY A. Cross the road and return shuttles will pick up at the parking area on Hwy A. Return shuttles will run every half hour beginning at 10 am until 6 pm and return you to the fairgrounds.
Camping – Festival style camping with marked sites at the Market West Grounds in the Langlade County Fairgrounds is $30 per person for both Friday (10/3/25) and Saturday (10/4/25) nights. If you choose to only camp on Friday or Saturday night, the cost is still $30 per person. Our system only allows for registration of both nights, even if you only choose to camp one night.
Please bring your own camping supplies: tent or shelter (tent stakes less than 10 inches), sleeping pad/bag/camp chair, food, cooler, cooking supplies, and toiletries. Sorry, no in-ground fires permitted but we will have an above-ground firepit. There are flush toilets and showers available at the Market Building North Wing right next to the camping area. Please no RVs greater than 20 feet long and there are no hook-ups. A dump station is available at the grounds. Please register at the Welcome Table when you arrive. Please leave your site as you found it. Check in time is 4 pm on Friday, 10/4/25. Check out time is by 4 pm on Sunday. Registration for the October 3rd event ends on 9/25/25.
