Langlade County has been branded the "County of Trails" because of a good reason. We have trails for hiking, mountain biking, snowmobiling, ATVing/UTVing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, horseback riding and even sled dogs.

Get your adrenaline pumping by going whitewater rafting or kayaking in eastern Langlade County. The famous Wolf River is one of the best whitewater rivers in the Midwest. People who raft or paddle the Wolf River are rewarded with abundant wildlife, outstanding shoreline scenery, and excellent water quality.

Bear Paw Outdoor Adventure Resort, is dedicated to adventure and fun! Offering kayaking instruction and trips on Northern Wisconsin’s Wolf River. Their trips and classes are fantastic learning experiences that feature safety and fun and are designed for people who are inquisitive about the natural environment, and want to explore what the natural world has to offer. Big Smokey Falls Rafting
Big Smokey Falls Rafting is located 168 miles north of Milwaukee. The Wolf River is the reservation's largest waterway, winding through 59 miles of Menominee land and dropping approximately 900 feet from the northern boundary to Keshena Falls. The rafting season runs from May through September 15th. Big Smokey Falls is located 10 miles north of Keshena on Hwy. 55. Watch for signs.

Cans, bottles and disposable items are not allowed on the river.

Bob's Rafts
The fun begins at Bob and Joni's! Ride the whitewater rapids of the Wolf River in one of their bright green tubes for only $15.00. Stop in for Breakfast or lunch. Get gas or stock you cooler. They will be happy to share some area information about all of the area's hidden fun spots. They are there to show you a great time and a little of the Wolf River Life

Herb's Wolf River Rafts
Long 5 to 6 hour trips and shorter 2 to 3 hour trips are available. Shooting the rapids is a thrill you will want to do annually with friends. Life jackets are required and provided with rafts and paddles. Your auto remains at the Inn where the trips end. We provide free transportation to the start of the trips. Local law is enforced, prohibiting glass bottles and beverage cans in rafts and littering the river.
